Ingredients for Soya Aloo Tahiri Pulao Recipe

  • Soya chunks , soaked and boiled 2 cup

  • Potato (aloo) , peeled 1 large

  • Rice , soaked for 30 minutes and drained 1 1/2 cups

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Black peppercorns 10-12

  • Bay leaf 1

  • Tomatoes 2 medium

  • Fresh coriander sprig to garnish


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add peppercorns and bay leaf and sauté till fragrant.

Step 2

Cut potatoes into cubes, add and sauté till they turn brown.

Step 3

Roughly chop tomatoes.

Step 4

Add rice to the pan, mix and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add soya chunks and 3 cups water and stir.

Step 5

Add tomatoes and mix. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or till the rice is fully done, stirring occasionally.

Step 6

Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
