Spicy Lamb Chops Juicy, spicy and simply delicious are these lamb chops. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 21 Sep 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Lamb chops (chaampan), Red chilli flakes Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 0-5 minutes Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Spicy Lamb Chops 500 grams Lamb chops (chaampan) single cut for garnishing Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon + 1 teaspoon Paprika powder 3 tablespoons Soy sauce 1 Egg 2 tablespoons Refined flour (maida) for shallow frying Oil 1 teaspoon + 1 tablespoon Garlic minced 1 tablespoon Ginger grated 1 tablespoon brown sugar/jaggery 2 tablespoons Rice wine vinegar 1 tablespoon Mustard paste 1 teaspoon Five spice powder to taste Salt Method Boil 4-5 cups water in a deep non-stick pan. Add lamb chops, cover and boil on low heat for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, strain and pat them dry with a kitchen towel. Place them on a plate. Rub 1 teaspoon soy sauce on the chops. Break egg on them and mix well. Add refined flour and coat well. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Place lamb chops in it and shallow-fry till the chops are fully done and crispy. Heat 1 teaspoon oil in another non-stick wok. Add garlic and sauté. Add ginger, brown sugar, rice vinegar and remaining soy sauce, mix well and cook till the sugar melts. Reduce heat and add mustard paste, paprika powder, red chilli flakes and five spice powder. Mix well and adjust salt. Add fried lamb chops and toss so that the sauce coats the chops completely. Simmer for 5 minutes.
