Ingredients list for Spicy Rice Pakoras
- 1 cup Rice boiled
- for deep-frying Oil
- 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp + Chaat masala
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Peanuts crushed
- 2 tablespoons Gram flour (besan)
- 7-8 Fresh coriander sprigs
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Combine rice, ginger, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, chaat masala, salt, peanuts and gram flour in a bowl.
- Roughly chop coriander sprigs, add to the bowl and mix well. Divide the mixture into equal portions.
- Dampen your palms with some water and flatten each portion into small discs. These are pakoras.
- Deep-fry the pakoras in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Sprinkle some chaat masala on pakoras and serve hot with sweet chutney and green chutney.
