By Sanjeev Kapoor 20 Jul 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Pomfret, Lemon grass Cuisine Fusion Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 31-40 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Steamed Pomfret with Lemongrass 2 medium Pomfret heads removed 1 Lemon grass to taste Salt 2 tablespoons Lemon juice 1 stalk Celery 2-3 Green chillies 1 inch Ginger 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 Bay leaf 5-6 Garlic cloves 1 tablespoon Light soy sauce 1/2 teaspoon Lemon zest 1 large Carrot peeled and cut into juliennes 1 teaspoon Honey 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds (black) Method Sprinkle some salt and drizzle 1 tablespoon lemon juice on the pomfret and rub well on both sides. Set aside. Roughly chop lemongrass, celery, spring onion bulbs, green chillies and ginger. Place them in a blender jar alongwith chopped coriander, bay leaf, garlic, soy sauce, ½ tablespoon lemon juice, lemon zest and salt. Add water as required and blend into a smooth paste. Apply the paste evenly on both sides of the pomfret. Set aside for half an hour. Steam the pomfret in a Chinese bamboo steamer for 7-8 minutes or till the fish is cooked. To make the salad, place carrot in a bowl. Add remaining lemon juice, salt, honey and sesame seeds and mix well. Place the prepared salad on a serving plate.
