Take chicken mince in a bowl, add salt, soy sauce, cornflour and egg and mix well. Heat 1½ cups water in a wide non-stick pan. Line a bamboo steamer with banana leaves. Take a porcelain bowl that will fit into the steamer. Put half the tofu in the bowl, top it with chicken mince mixture and put the remaining tofu over it. Cut broccoli into small florets and spread over the tofu. Drizzle sesame oil and sprinkle salt and pepper powder over the tofu. Place the bamboo steamer in the pan, keep the bowl in the steamer, cover it with bamboo lid and steam for 15-20 minutes. If the water in the pan evaporates put some more water in it so that the chicken gets cooked completely. Serve hot in the steamer itself.
