By Sanjeev Kapoor 18 Aug 2016 in Recipes Veg New Update Main Ingredients Broccoli, Tofu Cuisine Chinese Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients 1 small broccoli, separated into florets 200 grams tofu, cut into 1/2 inch pieces 8-10 black peppercorns, crushed 2-3 spring onions with greens Salt to taste 3 tablespoons oil 1 inch ginger piece, chopped 3-4 garlic cloves, chopped 1 stalk celery, chopped 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 tablespoon castor sugar (caster sugar) A pinch of MSG 1 teaspoon lemon juice Method Trim and chop spring onions along with the greens. Keep aside the greens for garnish. Heat sufficient water in a pan. Add salt and blanch broccoli florets in it. Drain. Heat oil in a wok. Add chopped ginger, garlic, celery and sauté. Add sliced spring onions and stir. Stir in soy sauce, tofu, sugar and salt. Mix well. Add blanched broccoli and mix. Add a pinch of MSG, lemon juice, crushed peppercorns and mix well. Garnish with spring onion greens, stir and serve hot.
