By Sanjeev Kapoor 13 Jun 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Semolina, Ghee Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Desserts Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Suji Halwa Pre Mix - SK Khazana 1 1/2 cups Semolina 3 tablespoons Ghee 3/4 cup Milk powder 1 1/2 cups Powdered sugar 6 tablespoons Mixed nuts powder 3/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder A large pinch of saffron Slivered pistachios for garnish Method Heat a non-stick pan, add semolina and dry roast it till golden brown. Add ghee, mix and sauté for 2 minutes. Transfer onto a plate and spread it to cool down to room temperature. When cooled, transfer the semolina into a large bowl, add milk powder, powdered sugar, mixed nuts powder, green cardamom powder and saffron and mix till well combined. Transfer the mixture into an air tight container and store up to 6-8 days. To make instant suji halwa, take ½ cup of the pre-mix in an air tight microwave safe container and add 1 cup boiling water and mix well. Cover and set aside for 5 minutes. Keep it in the microwave and cook on high for 2 minutes. . Pack the suji halwa tightly into a katori, upturn the katori on a serving plate and gently lift the katori.
