And did you always think that eating a potato will make you fat?
Well, don’t – it is a surprising source of vitamin C and provides useful amounts of starch, thiamine and niacin and around a hundred grams will provide about eighty calories.

Ingredients for Sweet potato french fries Recipe

  • Sweet potatoes cut into ½ inch slices 250 grams

  • Ghee 1 tablespoon

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Black salt (kala namak) to taste

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped for garnish

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and saute for a minute. Add sweet potatoes pieces and stir well.

Step 2

Cover and cook for three to four minutes stirring occasionally. Add red chilli powder, black salt and cook for a minute.

Step 3

Add lemon juice and mix well.Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
