This mithai is so delicious that it is hard to believe it gets made so fast and with just two ingredients. White sesame seeds and condensed milk is all you need to make these yummy squares. Make sure you toast the sesame seeds well, till fragrant and lightly coloured so the chikki gets that delicious earthy flavour.

Ingredients for Til ke Gajak Recipe

  • White Sesame Seeds 1 cup

  • Ghee 1 tablespoon

  • Condensed milk 200 grams


Step 1

Dry roast sesame seeds in a non-stick pan for 2 minutes, stirring continuously. Switch off the heat and stir further for half a minute.

Step 2

Cool them completely, transfer into a mixer jar and grind into a coarse powder.

Step 3

Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add the ground powder and sauté till light golden.

Step 4

Lower heat, add condensed milk and cook, stirring continuously, till the mixture thickens.

Step 5

Spread the mixture in a greased aluminium tray and set aside to cool.

Step 6

Cut into pieces, arrange on a serving plate and serve.
