This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 19 Dec 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Tendli, Tamarind Paste Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Tindli Chatpati 250 grams Tendli 2 tablespoons Tamarind Paste 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida 2 tablespoons Tamarind paste 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder to taste Salt 5 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped Method Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Slice the tindli vertically and deep fry till lightly coloured. Drain the tindlis on absorbent paper. Heat 2 tbsps oil in a non stick pan. Add cumin seeds and sauté till they begin to change colour. Add asafoetida and tamarind paste and mix. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt and sauté. Add 4 tbsps coriander leaves and ½ cup water and mix. Add the tindlis and mix and cook for 2 minutes.
