Ingredients for Tricoloured Phirni Recipe

  • Broken rice soaked 200 grams

  • Milk 1 litre

  • Sugar 100 grams

  • Cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Fresh kiwi crush 1/4 cup

  • Rose water 1/2 teaspoon

  • Fresh orange crush 1/4 cup

  • Slivered pistachios 2 tablespoons

  • Almonds blanched, peeled and slivered 6-8

  • Few strands of saffron

Method

Step 1

Wash the rice and grind it to make fine paste.

Step 2

Boil milk in a non stick pan and add ground rice paste and cook on slow fire stirring constantly.

Step 3

When the mixture is thick, add sugar and cardamom powder and divide into three portions.

Step 4

In one portion, add kiwi crush, the second, add orange crush And the third, add rose water.

Step 5

Set the three portions in three moulds and refrigerate. Place three cold and set moulds in a platter.

Step 6

Garnish the platter with pistachios, almonds and saffron.
