Ingredients list for Turkish Chicken Thighs

  • 4 Chicken legs skin removed and trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 3 teaspoons Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 3 teaspoons Dried mint powder
  • to taste Salt
  • for garnishing Fresh parsley sprigs

Method

  1. Place chicken thighs in a large bowl. Add lemon juice and mix well.
  2. Whisk together yogurt, garlic, ginger, paprika, dried mint powder and salt in another bowl.
  3. Pour yogurt mixture over the chicken and coat well. Cover with a cling film and place in a refrigerator for one hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 180° C.
  5. Place the marinated chicken on a baking tray, place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for fifteen to twenty minutes.
  6. Serve hot garnished with parsley sprigs.
