Ingredients list for Vratwale Aloo
- 4-5 medium Potatoes peeled
- 1 tablespoon Pure ghee
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon Green chilli paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/4 cup Raw peanuts
- to taste Rock salt (sendha namak)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
Method
- Heat a pressure cooker. Cut the potatoes into small cubes. Pour the ghee in the cooker and add cumin seeds.
- Add potatoes and mix well. Add green chilli paste, red chilli powder, peanuts and mix well and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Add 2 cups water, rock salt and lemon juice and mix. Cover the cooker and cook under pressure till 2-3 whistles are given out.
- Open the lid when the pressure reduces. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with kootoo ke aate ki puri.
