Wheat and Semolina Laddoos

Wheat flour and semolina sautéed in ghee, mixed with powdered sugar and nuts and shaped into laddoos. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Wheat and Semolina Laddoos

  • 1 cup Wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup Semolina (rawa/suji)
  • 3 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • 8-10 Raisins
  • 1 tablespoon Almond slivers
  • 3/4 cup Powdered sugar

Method

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a kadai. Add wheat flour and roast till fragrant. Remove the kadai from heat and transfer into a bowl.
  2. Place the same pan back on heat, add 1 tablespoon ghee and roast semolina till fragrant.
  3. Add roasted semolina to the same bowl, cool to room temperature. Add cardamom powder, raisins, almonds and sugar and mix well. Add remaining ghee and mix well.
  4. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into laddoos. Arrange them on a serving plate and serve.
