Here it is cooked with sugar to make a delicious burfi which will give you the necessary boost in winter. By Sanjeev Kapoor 26 Sep 2024 in Recipes Mithais New Update Main ingredients Ginger, Milk, Ghee, Sugar, Green cardamom powder, Nutmeg powder Cuisine Indian Course Mithai Prep time 35-40 minutes Cook time 15-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 350 grams ginger (adrak) ½ cup milk ¼ cup ghee 2 cups sugar ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder A large pinch of nutmeg powder Method Peel ginger and cut into small pieces. Transfer into a grinder jar, add ½ cup milk and grind to a fine paste. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add the ground ginger paste and mix well. Cook, stirring, for 5-6 minutes. Add sugar, mix and cook till the sugar melts. Add green cardamom powder and nutmeg powder and mix well. Continue to cook till the mixture thickens and reaches a soft ball consistency. Transfer the mixture onto a greased and lined burfi tray and even out the top. Set aside to cool slightly. Cut into squares and allow to cool completely.
