Ingredients

Method

  1. Trim the edges of bread slices and roughly chop. Roughly chop green garlic bulbs and stalks.
  2. Transfer garlic bulbs and stalks into a grinder jar, add bread and grind coarsely.
  3. Place boneless fish fillet cubes on a plate, sprinkle salt on fish pieces, drizzle lemon juice and mix well. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  4. Spread the green garlic-bread mixture on a plate. Take egg whites in a bowl, add salt and whisk well.
  5. Add fresh red chillies and salt to the breadcrumbs mixture and mix well.
  6. Dip the fish pieces in beaten eggs and roll in breadcrumb mixture and press lightly.
  7. Heat sufficient oil in a shallow non-stick pan. Place the fish pieces in the pan and shallow-fry, for 2-3 minutes. Flip and continue to shallow-fry for 2-3 minutes. Drain on absorbent paper.
  8. Arrange the fish on a serving platter and serve hot with tartar sauce.
