By Sanjeev Kapoor 15 Aug 2024 in Recipes Snacks and Starters New Update Kappa Sticks Main ingredients Tapioca (kappa), Salt, Turmeric powder, Oil, Curry leaves, Red chilli powder Cuisine Kerala Course Snacks and starters Prep time 10-15 minutes Cook time 10-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Savoury Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 400 grams tapioca (kappa) Salt to taste ½ teaspoon turmeric powder Oil for deep frying 12-15 curry leaves, fried 1 teaspoon red chilli powder Method Peel the tapioca and slice it thinly through a slicer. Arrange a few slices on top of each other and cut into thin sticks. Repeat the same with the remaining slices. Take salt in a bowl, add turmeric powder and ½ cup water and mix well. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Gently slide in the sticks and deep fry on medium heat till golden brown and crisp. Carefully drizzle 2-3 tablespoons of turmeric-salt water. Drain the sticks on absorbent paper. Transfer the fried sticks into a large bowl, add fried curry leaves and red chilli powder and toss till well combined.
