By Sanjeev Kapoor 12 Nov 2024 in Recipes Snacks and Starters New Update Main ingredients Raw jackfruit, Onion, Green chillies, Fresh coriander leaves, Red chilli powder, Garam masala powder, Fresh breadcrumbs, Oil Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and starters Prep time 25-30 minutes Cook time 10-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Savoury Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 300 grams boiled raw jackfruit (kathal) 2-3 tablespoons chopped onion 2 green chillies, chopped 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves ½ teaspoon red chilli powder ½ teaspoon garam masala powder Salt to taste ¾ cup fresh breadcrumbs Oil for deep frying Green chutney to serve Method Put the boiled raw jackfruit into a blender jar and blend to a coarse paste. Transfer into a bowl. Add onion, green chillies, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt and fresh breadcrumbs and mix well. Take small portions of the mixture and shape each portion into a ball. Fatten each ball to shape it like a tikki. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Gently slide in the tikkis, a few at a time, and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
