By Sanjeev Kapoor 24 Jun 2024 in Recipes Mithais New Update Mishti Makhana Main ingredients Puffed lotus seeds (makhana), Ghee, Sugar, Green cardamom powder, Fennel powder Cuisine Bihari Course Mithai Prep time 0-5 minutes Cook time 10-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 200 grams puffed lotus seeds (makhana) 1 tablespoon ghee ½ cup sugar ¼ teaspoon green cardamom powder ¼ teaspoon fennel powder Method Heat ghee in a kadai, add makhana and sauté on medium heat for 5-6 minutes or till crisp. Transfer onto a plate and set aside. Heat a kadai, add sugar and 2 tablespoons water and cook till sugar caramelizes. Add green cardamom powder and fennel powder and mix well. Add makhana and mix well. Transfer onto a plate and allow to cool.
