Neer Dosa Soft and light dosas or lacy crepe are a popular Mangalorean snack that can be had for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Made from ground rice they are vegan and gluten-free and have beautiful texture. Just get the batter ready and you are set to create some mouthwatering neer dosas. By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Aug 2024 in Recipes Snack New Update Neer Dosa Main ingredients Idli rice, Salt, Oil, Onion, Ghee, Coconut chutney Cuisine Mangalorean Course Snack Prep time 6-8 hours Cook time 30-35 minutes Serve 4 Taste Savoury Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 2 cups idli rice Salt to taste Oil for greasing Onion half for greasing Ghee for drizzling Coconut chutney to serve Method Take idli rice in a large bowl, add water and wash thoroughly for 2-3 times. Add fresh water and let it soak for 6-8 hours. Drain and transfer the rice into a mixer jar. Add 1 cup water and grind to a fine paste. Transfer into a large bowl, add 1 cup water and salt and mix till well combined. Heat a non-stick tawa. Dip half an onion in some oil and grease the tawa with it. Drizzle the batter and spread it evenly to make a thin layer. Cover and cook on medium heat for 1-2 minutes. Drizzle ghee and fold the neer dosa in a triangle. Make more dosas similarly.
