Oats Jaggery Modak This year for Ganesh chaturthi you can serve the Elephant God a healthy version of his favourite modak. We have substituted fresh coconut with powdered oats which we know is a powerhouse of essential nutrients and fiber. By Sanjeev Kapoor 22 Apr 2024 in Recipes Mithais New Update Oats Jaggery Modak Main ingredients Powdered oats, Jaggery powder, Ghee, Green cardamom powder, Mixed nuts, Milk Cuisine Indian Course Mithai Prep time 10-15 minutes Cook time 5-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 1½ cups powdered oats 1 cup jaggery powder 2 tbsps ghee + to grease ¼ tsp green cardamom powder 2-3 tbsps chopped mixed nuts 3-4 tbsps milk Method Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add oats powder and sauté for 3-4 minutes on medium heat. Add jaggery powder and green cardamom powder and mix well. Add chopped nuts and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes on medium heat. Transfer into a bowl, add milk and combine well to form dough. Grease a modak mould with some ghee and transfer a small portion in it. Press well. Demould and place on a serving platter. Make more modaks in the same way.
