Oats Thalipeeth Thalipeeth is one of the most popular breakfast snack of Maharashtrians. Every household has this at least once every week. Normally they use a multigrain flour to make this delicacy but here we have used oats flour. The multigrain flour, as you must have guessed, is nutrient rich and so is the oats flour. By Sanjeev Kapoor 03 Jul 2024 in Recipes Snack New Update Oats Thalipeeth Main ingredients Oats flour, Carrot, Onion, Fresh coriander leaves, Cumin powder, Coriander powder, Red chilli powder, Turmeric powder, Garam masala powder, Green chillies Cuisine Fusion Course Snack Prep time 10-15 minutes Cook time 30-35 minutes Serve 4 Taste Savoury Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 1½ cups oats flour 1 small carrot, grated 1 large onion, finely chopped 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves ½ teaspoon cumin powder ½ teaspoon coriander powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder ½ teaspoon garam masala powder Salt to taste 2-3 green chillies, chopped Oil for drizzling Green chutney to serve Method Take oats flour in a bowl, add carrot, onion, coriander leaves, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt and green chillies and mix well. Add 1 cup water, and knead into soft dough. Take a non-stick tawa, place a portion of the dough on it, dip your fingers in water and spread it into a thick disc. Make a few holes in the center. Place the non-stick tawa on heat and cook for 4-5 minutes on medium heat. Drizzle a little oil. Flip and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes or until golden and crisp. Make more thalipeeth with the remaining dough.
