By Sanjeev Kapoor 14 Oct 2024 in Recipes Snacks and Starters New Update Main ingredients Nendran bananas, Refined flour, Rice flour, Sugar, Black sesame seeds, Turmeric powder, Oil Cuisine Kerala Course Snacks and starters Prep time 10-15 minutes Cook time 10-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 3 nendran bananas 2 cups refined flour ¼ cup rice flour 1 tablespoon sugar 2 teaspoons black sesame seeds 1 teaspoon turmeric powder Salt to taste Oil for deep frying Filter coffee for serving Method Take refined flour in a bowl, add rice flour, sugar, black sesame seeds, turmeric powder, salt and mix well. Add 1¾ cups water and mix well to form thick batter. Peel the bananas and slice them vertically. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip the sliced bananas in the batter, slide a few at a time, into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
