Ingredients list for Adrak Kali Mirch Chai

  • 1 inch piece Ginger crushed
  • 8 Black peppercorns
  • 3-4 teaspoons Tea leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fennel seeds (saunf)
  • 6-8 Fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 4-5 teaspoons Sugar

Method

  1. Heat three cups of water in a pan.
  2. Take peppercorns and fennel seeds in a mortar and pound with a pestle. Add this to the water. Crush the ginger and add. Add fresh mint leaves and let the water come to a boil.
  3. Add tea leaves and continue to boil. Add milk and let the mixture boil once more. Add sugar and simmer the mixture for two to three minutes.
  4. Strain and serve piping hot.
