Ingredients
- 3 large potatoes,peeled
 - 10-12 cauliflower florets
 - 1 1/2 inch roughly chopped ginger
 - 8-10 garlic cloves
 - 3-4 green chillies
 - 2 tablespoons oil
 - 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
 - 1 large onion, sliced
 - 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
 - 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
 - 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
 - 1 teaspoon coriander powder
 - Salt to taste
 - 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
 - Coriander leaves for garnish
 
Method
- Cut potatoes into big cubes. Put ginger, garlic and green chillies in a mortar and pound them with a pestle.
 - Heat oil in an iron kadai, add cumin seeds and onion and sauté till golden brown. Add the pounded paste, mix well and saute till raw smells disappear.
 - Add tomatoes, mix well and saute till tomatoes soften.
 - Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder, mix well and saute for 1 minute. Add ¼ cup water and mix well. Add potatoes and cauliflower florets and mix well.
 - Add salt and mix well. Add ¼ cup water, mix well, cover and cook for 8-10 minutes or till both potatoes and cauliflower are cooked. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
 - Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with some coriander leaves and serve hot.
