Ingredients 

  • 5-6 medium ripe guavas, peeled and cut int 1 inch pieces 
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • A pinch of  asafoetida
  • 1 teaspoon panch phoran
  • 3/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a kadai and add asafoetida and panch phoran. When a nice aroma is given out, add guava pieces and stir.
  2. Add red chilli powder, salt and sugar and mix. Add half a cup of water, cover and cook on low heat for seven to eight minutes or till the guava pieces become soft.
  3. Serve hot.
