Favourite seafood? Prawns, prawns and more of prawns. A wide variety of small crustaceans, tiny relatives of the lobster, are known as prawns. Prawns are normally translucent when raw but get their distinctive pink or red colour on being cooked. one word of caution – if buying unpeeled prawns, smell for freshness and look for bright, shiny shells that have some spring left in them.

Ingredients for Baked Cheese Prawns Recipe

  • Tiger prawns tails and shell intact 8-12

  • Processed cheese 1 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Juice of 1 lemon


Step 1

Preheat oven at 200°C.

Step 2

Slit the prawns lengthwise horizontally making into butterfly shape and devein. Place them on a baking tray.

Step 3

Sprinkle salt, pepper powder and lemon juice on top and rub well on the prawns.

Step 4

Top with generous amount of cheese, place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes.

Step 5

Serve hot.
