Ingredients list for Barta Meen

  • 2 medium King Fish cut into 1 inch thick slices
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Malt Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic paste
  • to taste Salt
  • to shallow fry Oil

Method

  1. Marinate fish slices with malt vinegar, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, ginger paste, garlic paste and salt for twenty to twenty five minutes.
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a non stick pan and shallow fry the fish slices till golden and crisp on the outside.
  3. Drain on absorbent paper.
  4. Serve hot.
