Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 green chillies
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- A pinch of asafoetida
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
- Slit and chop green chillies. Slice potatoes.
- Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida and chopped green chillies and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add sliced potatoes, turmeric powder and salt and toss to mix. Add some water, cover and cook till potatoes are done.
- Serve hot.
