Ingredients list for Batter Fried Mixed Nuts
- 15-20 Almonds
- 15-20 Cashewnuts
- 1/4 cup Peanuts
- 1 cup Gram flour (besan)
- 2 tablespoons Rice flour
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Soda bicarbonate
- to taste Salt
- to deep fry Oil
- 1 teaspoon Chaat masala
Method
- Dry roast almonds, cashewnuts and peanuts separately for three to four minutes or till crisp. In a large bowl combine gram flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, soda bicarbonate and salt.
- Add enough water to make a thick batter and whisk till smooth. Add the roasted nuts in the batter and mix. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep-fry the nuts, one by one, till crisp and golden brown.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain onto an absorbent paper. Sprinkle chaat masala and serve.
