Ingredients list for Bhooga Chawar
- 1 1/2 cups Basmati Rice soaked
- 3 tablespoons Onion
- 1 large Onion sliced
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 3 Green cardamoms
- 3 Cloves
- 2 Bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- to taste Salt
Method
- Heat oil in a heavy bottom vessel.
- Add onion, cumin seeds, green cardamoms, cloves and bay leaves and sauté till the onion turns golden brown in colour.
- Add red chilli powder and sauté for half a minute.
- Add soaked rice along with three cups of water and salt.
- Cook till the rice is done and all the water is absorbed.
- Serve hot.
