Ingredients for Broccoli Mushroom and Penne Bake Recipe

  • Broccoli separated into small florets 1 small

  • Button Mushrooms quartered 8-10

  • Penne boiled 100 grams

  • Butter 2 tablespoons

  • Onion chopped 1 medium

  • Garlic chopped 2 teaspoons

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 tablespoon

  • Milk 3/4 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli flakes 2 teaspoons

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Fresh cream 1/3 cup

  • Grated processed cheese 4 tablespoons

  • Parmesan cheese powder 1 tablespoon

  • Grated mozzarella cheese 3 tablespoons


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200º C.

Step 2

Heat butter in a non-stick pan, add onion and garlic and saute till onion becomes translucent.

Step 3

Add refined flour, mix and saute for a couple of minutes taking care that the colour of the flour does not change. Add milk and mix.

Step 4

Add broccoli and mix well. Add mushrooms, mix well and cook for two minutes.

Step 5

Add penne and mix well. Add salt, chilli flakes and crushed peppercorns, mix well and cook for a minute.

Step 6

Add cream and mix well. Add processed cheese and Parmesan cheese, mix well and let it get heated through.

Step 7

Spread cooked pasta mixture in a glass baking dish, top with mozzarella cheese, place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for seven to eight minutes or till the cheese melts.

Step 8

Serve hot.
