By Sanjeev Kapoor 23 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Advertisment Main Ingredients Split Bengal gram (chana dal), Medium onion Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 3.30-4 hour Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Chana Dal Tikki 1 1/2 cups Split Bengal gram (chana dal) soaked for 2-3 hours and drained 1 Medium onion chopped 1/4 cup Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2-3 Green chillies chopped 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Chaat masala 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder 1 inch Ginger finely chopped to taste Salt 2 tablespoons Gram flour to shallow fry Oil to serve Tomato ketchup Method Put split Bengal gram into a food processor jar, add onion, coriander leaves, green chillies, turmeric powder, chaat masala, garam masala, ginger and salt and process to a coarse paste. Transfer this mixture into a bowl, add gram flour and mix well. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into tikkis. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick tawa, place the tikkis in it and cook, turning sides, till both sides are golden brown and crisp.
