The cuisine of The United States is a rich amalgamation of peoples, religions and cultures thanks to the immigrants from different parts of the world.  They brought with them their local ingredients as well as cooking styles with them.  Yet amidst all these varieties Chinese and Italian cuisines dominate.  
During the 18th and 19th centuries, the Americans developed a number of new foods.  What characterised the American cuisine is the adaptation of a fusion of multiple ethnic cooking styles. During this period food production and presentation became more industrialised.

Ingredients for Cherry Berry Cheesecake Recipe

  • Cherry jam 2 tablespoons

  • Cream cheese

  • Berry Jam 2 tablespoons

  • Digestive biscuits crushed 12-14

  • Butter melted 50 grams

  • Fresh cream chilled 1 1/2 cups

  • Hung yogurt 1 cup

  • Cream cheese 2 tablespoons

  • Sugar Free Natura 1/2 cup

  • Gelatin 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh cherries 20-25

Method

Step 1

Whip fresh cream with a hand blender till it thickens. Add hung yogurt and whip again. Transfer into a bowl.

Step 2

Put berry jam, cherry jam, cream cheese and diet sugar in the blender and blend. Add this to the cream-yogurt mixture and mix well.

Step 3

Add melted butter to crushed biscuits and mix well. Line the base of a spring form tin with this mixture. Press well and keep in the refrigerator to set for some time.

Step 4

Pour ¼ cup water in a bowl and heat it in microwave on HIGH for 1 minute. Take it out and add gelatine and stir till it dissolves completely. Cool it completely and add to the cream-yogurt mixture and mix well.

Step 5

Pour this over the biscuit base in the spring form tin and level the surface. Arrange fresh cherries around the edge of the tin and keep in refrigerator till well set.

Step 6

Demould, cut into wedges and serve.
