Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Chocolate Burfi- Sk Khazana Recipe

  • Khoya/mawa 500 grams

  • Cocoa powder 3 tablespoons

  • Powdered sugar 1/2 cup

  • Silver warq for garnish

Method

Step 1

Heat khoya in a non-stick pan, mixing continuously, till it softens completely. Add cocoa and mix till well combined and fat surfaces. Take it off the heat and transfer into a bowl.

Step 2

Allow the khoya mixture to cool completely. Add sugar and mix till well combined.

Step 3

Transfer this mixture into a greased burfi tray and spread it evenly. Level the top and set aside for 1 hour.

Step 4

Apply silver warq on top and cut it into desired shape. Arrange the burfi pieces on a serving plate and serve.
