Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Churme Meve Ke Laddoo Recipe

  • Wheat flour 5 tablespoons

  • Khoya 2 tablespoons

  • Ghee 3 tablespoons

  • Khoya/mawa 1 1/2 cup

  • Green cardamom powder a pinch

  • Pistachios sliced 2 tablespoons

  • Powdered sugar 1 cup

  • Raisins 1 tablespoons

  • Poppy seeds (khuskhus/posto) 1 cup

Method

Step 1

Heat ghee in a non-stick pan.

Step 2

Add wheat flour, semolina and sauté on low heat till golden brown. Add khoya, green cardamom powder, pistachios, cashew nuts and mix well.Add powdered sugar, raisins and mix.

Step 3

Remove this mixture into a parat and cool it for some time. Roast poppy seeds in a pan and remove onto a plate.

Step 4

Shape the churma mixture into laddoos and roll them in poppy seeds and serve.
