By Sanjeev Kapoor 17 Dec 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Dessicated Coconut, Egg whites Cuisine Italian Course Desserts Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Coconut Macaroons 1/4 cup Dessicated Coconut 2 2/3 cups Egg whites 1 cup Almonds 2/3 cup Sugar 1/4 teaspoon Salt 4 Egg whites 1 teaspoon Almond essence Method Sieve flour. Chop almonds. Combine coconut, sugar, flour and salt in mixing bowl. Preheat oven to 325°F. Lightly grease baking sheets. Lightly beat egg whites. Remove from baking sheets immediately. Makes about two and a half dozen macaroons. Stir in egg whites and almond essence into the above mixture. Add the almonds and mix well. Drop from teaspoon onto the baking sheets. Garnish with coconut flakes if desired. Bake at 325°F in the preheated oven for twenty to twenty-five minutes, or until edges of the cookies are golden brown. Remove from baking sheets immediately.
