Ingredients list for Crisp Penne and Pumpkin Chips

  • 1 cup Penne Pasta boiled leftover
  • 300 grams Pumpkin peeled
  • for deep-frying Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Red chilli powder
  • to taste Black pepper powder
  • to taste Cumin powder
  • to taste Chaat masala
  • to taste Sugar

Method

  1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  2. Thinly slice pumpkin on a slicer and dip them to a bowl of cold water. Add salt and mix well.
  3. Slide penne pasta into hot oil, one by one, and deep-fry till crisp and light brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  4. Drain water from the pumpkin and deep-fry in same hot oil till crisp and light brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  5. Transfer the fried penne into a bowl. Add salt, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, cumin powder and chaat masala to penne and mix well. Add sugar and mix well.
  6. Sprinkle the same masalas on the pumpkin chips and mix well.
  7. Transfer penne onto a serving platter, top with pumpkin chips and serve.
