Ingredients list for Dahi Toast - SK Khazana

  • 1 1/2 cups Hung yogurt
  • 8 White bread slices
  • 1 Medium onion chopped
  • 1 Medium tomato chopped
  • 1/2 cup Corn kernels boiled
  • 3 tablespoons Mixed coloured capsicums chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black peppercorns crushed
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • as required Fresh coriander leaces chopped
  • for applyi to shallow fry Butter
  • as required Green chutney
  • for drizzling Cheese spread
  • for drizzling Schezwan sauce
  • to garnish Nylon sev

Method

  1. Take hung yogurt in a bowl. Add onion, tomato, corn kernels, mixed capsicums, salt, black pepper powder, green chillies and coriander leaves and mix well.
  2. Apply butter on 4 bread slices. Apply green chutney on them and spread some yogurt mixture.
  3. Similarly apply butter and chutney on remaining 4 slices and place them over the yogurt mixture, chutney side facing downwards.
  4. Heat some butter in a non-stick pan, place the sandwiches in it and shallow-fry, turning sides, till golden brown on both sides.
  5. Cut each sandwich into 2 triangles and place in separate serving plates. Drizzle cheese spread and schezwan chutney on top. Garnish with nylon sev and coriander leaves.
  6. Serve immediately with wafers.
