Ingredients list for Dal Rice Vada-SK Khazana
- 1 cup Split Bengal gram (chana dal) soaked for 5-6 hours and drained
- 1/2 cup Cooked Basmati rice
- for deep-frying Oil
- 1-2 Green chillies finely choppd
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper powder
- to serve Tomato ketchup
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Grind split Bengal gram into thick and smooth mixture. Transfer into a bowl.
- Add rice, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt and pepper powder and mix well.
- Add 1 tablespoon hot oil to the mixture and mix well.
- Dampen your hand in with water, divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into balls and flatten between your palms to make medium thick vadas.
- Put the vadas in hot oil and deep-fry on medium heat till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
