By Sanjeev Kapoor 22 Oct 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Advertisment Main Ingredients Split Bengal gram (chana dal), Cooked Basmati rice Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 5-6 hour Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Dal Rice Vada-SK Khazana 1 cup Split Bengal gram (chana dal) soaked for 5-6 hours and drained 1/2 cup Cooked Basmati rice for deep-frying Oil 1-2 Green chillies finely choppd 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped to taste Salt to taste Black pepper powder to serve Tomato ketchup Method Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Grind split Bengal gram into thick and smooth mixture. Transfer into a bowl. Add rice, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt and pepper powder and mix well. Add 1 tablespoon hot oil to the mixture and mix well. Dampen your hand in with water, divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into balls and flatten between your palms to make medium thick vadas. Put the vadas in hot oil and deep-fry on medium heat till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
