Ingredients list for Dalia Porridge - SK Khazana

  • 1 cup Broken wheat
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 5-6 Seedless dates soaked for 1 hour
  • 1 tablespoon Cashewnut powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 Apple medium
  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add broken wheat, mix and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add 4 cups water, mix, cover the cooker and cook under pressure till 4-5 whistles are released. Open the cooker once the pressure is reduced completely.
  2. Keep the cooker back on heat, add seedless dates, cashewnut powderand honey and blend to a coarse mixture with an electric hand blender.
  3. Add milk and mix well and cook for a minute on medium heat.
    Transfer into serving bowls. Top up with apple, garnish with mint sprig and serve warm.
