  • 2 1/2 cups Thin pressed rice (patle pohe)
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1 Green chilli chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 Medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Methkut
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coconut scraped
  • 1 Curd chilli fried

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add asafoetida, green chilli and turmeric powder and sauté.
  2. Take poha in a large bowl. Add onions, methkut, salt, sugar, lemon juice, coriander leaves, coconut and the prepared tempering. Mix well.
  3. Cover and let it rest for 20-25 minutes.
  4. Crumble the curd chilli and add to the poha mixture and mix well.
  5. Serve.
