By Sanjeev Kapoor 15 Nov 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Eggs, White bread Slices Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Egg Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Egg Nargisi Kofta 4 Eggs 2 slices White bread Slices 2 tablespoons Ghee 1 medium Onion ,minced 2 Green chillies,minced to taste Salt 2 medium Tomatoes blanched and peeled chopped 4 sprigs Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder to taste Black pepper powder Method Place eggs in a pan with three cups of water. Boil for ten minutes and let cool. Shell and keep aside. Crumble bread slices and soak in cold water till soft. Drain and squeeze out all the liquid and mash well with a fork. Cut the eggs lengthwise, and remove the yolks. Mash the egg yolks, add mashed bread and one tablespoon of melted ghee. Stir in a little of the minced onion, minced green chillies, a pinch of salt and mix well. Stuff this mixture in the hollow of the egg white and place the stuffed eggs carefully in an ovenproof dish. Preheat oven to 180˚C. To make the tomato sauce, fry remaining minced onion in remaining ghee till the colour turns pink. Add tomatoes, coriander leaves, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, salt and pepper powder to taste. Simmer till the sauce is cooked. Pour the tomato sauce over the stuffed eggs. Cover the dish and bake in the preheated oven for ten minutes at 180˚C. Serve hot.
