You are hungry? Poach an egg and have it topped with stir fried veggies – perfect protein source for the body! Check the freshness – keep a raw egg in a bowl of water. Fresh eggs will stay at the bottom while stale eggs stand on end or float.

Ingredients for Egg White Omelette Recipe

  • Eggs 2

  • Onions

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Onion chopped 1/2 small

  • Mushrooms 3 medium

  • Green capsicums seeded and chopped 1/4 small

  • Salt to taste

  • White pepper powder a pinch

Method

Step 1

Break the eggs and separate the yolks from the whites.

Step 2

Heat one tablespoon oil in a large shallow pan. Add onion, mushrooms and capsicum and sauté. Take the egg whites in a bowl, add salt and whisk. Add this to the pan and stir till the eggs set. Sprinkle white pepper powder.

Step 3

Drizzle some oil along the sides and flip to turn the omelette. Cook on the other side too.

Step 4

Serve immediately.
