Fal Aur Gud Ka Pulao

Ingredients list for Fal Aur Gud Ka Pulao

  • 1 Fruits cut into small pieces
  • 1 medium Coconut peeled, cored and cut into small pieces.
  • 1 small Chikoo seeded and chopped
  • 1/4 Pineapple cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup Jaggery (gur) grated
  • 1/2 cup Rice soaked
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons Ghee
  • 3-4 Green cardamoms
  • 1/2 cup Coconut scraped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg powder
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Sprinkle lemon juice on banana and apple and keep them aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a kadai.
  3. Add green cardamoms and sauté for a minute.
  4. Add the soaked rice along with four cups of water and cook till three fourths done.
  5. Drain and spread on a plate to cool.
  6. Place the grated jaggery in another kadai and let it melt.
  7. Add nutmeg powder and mix.
  8. Add rice with the fruits and coconut and a pinch of salt and cook covered till the rice is completely done.
  9. Serve hot.
