Ingredients
- 250 grams French beans, cut into thin diagonal slivers
- 2 tablespoons roasted sesame seeds
- 1 small dark green cucumber, unpeeled and cubed
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- A few Lettuce leaves
For dressing
- 2 tablespoons salad oil
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard paste
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 pickled gherkin, minced
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder to taste
Method
- Put all the ingredients for the dressing into a small glass jar and shake well. Place in a refrigerator till required. Steam the French beans for five minutes and drain.
- Leave to cool. Mix together the beans, cucumber and celery in a bowl. Just before serving, pour the dressing over the salad.
- Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve on a bed of lettuce.
