Ingredients list for Fried Cheese Burger

  • 200 grams Mozzarella cheese block , cut into 2 inch squares
  • 4 Mini burger buns
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried mixed herbs
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
  • 1/2 cup Refined flour (maida)
  • to taste Black peppercorns , crushed
  • for toasti Butter
  • to deep fry Oil
  • Layering
  • as required Ketchup mayo
  • as required Lettuce leaves
  • as required Tomato slices
  • as required Onion slices
  • to taste Black peppercorns , crushed
  • to taste Salt
  • as required Pickled jalapeno slices
  • to garnish Black olives

Method

  1. Spread breadcrumbs on a plate, add garlic powder, onion powder, dried mixed herbs, salt and red chilli flakes and mix well.
  2. Take refined flour in a bowl. Add crushed black peppercorns, salt and ½ cup water and mix well to make a lump free mixture.
  3. Dip the mozzarella squares into the refined flour mixture and coat with the breadcrumbs mixture. Repeat the process one more time.
  4. Place these mozzarella squares on a plate and keep the plate in the freezer for 1-2 hours.
  5. Halve the burger buns horizontally.
  6. Heat butter in a non-stick grill pan, place the burger buns and toast for 30 seconds.
  7. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, gently slide in the frozen mozzarella squares and deep- fry on medium heat till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  8. To make the burgers, apply some ketchup-mayo on each burger bun base and place some lettuce leaves. Place one fried cheese square on each and arrange tomato slices and onion rings over it. Sprinkle crushed black peppercorns, salt and arrange some pickled jalapeno slices over it. Arrange some more lettuce leaves on top. Apply some ketchup-mayo on the top halves of the burger buns and place them one on top each.
  9. Secure with a toothpick and garnish with black olives. Place each burger on an individual plate and serve immediately.
