Ingredients for Fried Peanuts Recipe

  • Raw Peanuts 1 1/2 cups

  • Gram flour 2 tbsps + for deep frying

  • Gram flour (besan) 3/4 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Baking powder a pinch

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon

  • Chaat masala 1/2 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai on medium heat. Mix gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, baking powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, chaat masala in a bowl and sprinkle a little water.

Step 2

Add peanuts and 2 tbsps oil and mix well. Sprinkle a little more water and mix well.Add the peanuts to the hot oil, ensuring that they do not stick together. Deep fry on medium heat till well browned and crisp.

Step 3

Drain on absorbent paper. Mix chaat masala and red chilli powder and sprinkle. Let them cool and then serve.
