By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Nov 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Wheat, Ghee Cuisine Gujarati Course Mithais Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Gadhio Khichdo 500 grams Wheat broken 5 tablespoons Ghee 3 cup Milk 100 grams Sugar 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg powder 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder to garnish Coconut, scraped to garnish Raisins Method Advertisment Mix four tablespoons of ghee in broken wheat and cook in double the quantity of water till almost dry. Heat one tablespoon of ghee in a kadai. Add broken wheat, milk and sugar. Bring the milk to boil and reduce the heat to simmer. Keep on stirring till thick and dry. Add cardamom and the nutmeg powder and mix. Pour this into a greased tray to set. Garnish with scraped coconut and raisins. Cut into desired shapes and serve.
