Finely chop ten to twelve garlic cloves and grind the remaining into a fine paste. Mix the eggs, four tablespoons of cornflour, garlic paste and salt to taste into the chicken pieces. Leave aside for half an hour. Mix the remaining cornflour in one cup of water. Mix together the tomato ketchup, MSG, chicken stock, salt and white pepper powder. Heat sufficient oil in a wok and deep fry the marinated chicken for two to three minutes. Drain on absorbent paper. Heat two tablespoons of oil in another wok or a pan, add the chopped garlic and stir-fry briefly. Stir in sauce and spice mix and bring it to a boil. Stir in cornflour mixture and cook for a minute or until the sauce starts to thicken, stirring continuously. Add fried chicken pieces and cook for a couple of minutes on medium heat. Stir in vinegar. Serve hot, garnished with chopped spring onion greens.
